What is PodSat?▼
PodSat is a working reference for podcasting gear and craft — mics, interfaces, software, hosting, and the technique behind a great-sounding show. It is part of the WholeTech Network of 110+ topic sites.
What gear do I actually need to start?▼
At minimum: a USB mic ($60–150), a pair of monitoring headphones ($30+), and a quiet room. Step up to an XLR mic and an audio interface ($200–400) when you’re ready. See the Gear Rack on the home page for specific picks.
How can I contribute or suggest gear?▼
We welcome suggestions, corrections, and gear tips. Email info@podsat.com with what you’re running and what should be on the bench.
Is PodSat free to use?▼
Yes. All content is free and accessible. No paywalls, no mandatory signups, no pop-ups.
How often is PodSat updated?▼
Gear picks and craft notes are updated as new equipment and tools become relevant. The site is maintained as part of an ongoing network-wide refresh.
